EmploymentWise is designed so that very little about you reaches it at all. This page says exactly what is collected, why, and how to have it removed. The data controller is Codable Labs Ltd, Ireland.

The tools

Every tool runs in your browser. The dates, pay and answers you type are never sent to this site’s servers, and no tool asks for your employer’s name or for a document. The leave planner and the unfair dismissal check keep your answers in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab. The case file keeps its events in your browser’s local storage until you clear it, and exports as a file you hold; it is never synced. If you copy a share link, your inputs are encoded in the part of the address after the # sign, which browsers do not send to any server and which analytics never records. The letter builder’s text is never stored. Nothing is sent to the WRC or any court.

Analytics

The site uses Plausible, a cookieless analytics service, to count page views and a small set of events such as “enquiry sent” and “letter built”. No personal data, no tool inputs and no URL fragments are recorded, and there are no custom events on the leave planner or the dismissal check. No consent banner is needed because no cookies are set and no identifier is stored on your device.

The enquiry form

If you ask to be contacted by a solicitor, the form collects your name, email address, what your enquiry is about, when it happened, how you want to be contacted, and a phone number only if you give one. With your explicit consent these details are stored securely and passed to one partner employment solicitor firm regulated by the Law Society of Ireland, which contacts you directly. Nothing else is collected: not your employer’s name, not anything from a tool. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How the partner firm pays this site is on the disclosure page. “Just researching” enquiries are never counted or charged.

Retention and your rights

Enquiries are kept for twelve months and then deleted. You can ask for your enquiry to be deleted sooner, for a copy of what is held, or for a correction, by writing to privacy@employmentwise.ie. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission if you are unhappy with how your data has been handled.

Hosting

The site is served from Cloudflare’s network. Enquiries are stored in a database hosted by Supabase in the EU and forwarded by email through Resend. These providers process data on Codable Labs Ltd’s instructions only.
